A Note to 5Cs Undergrads!
Undergraduate students at the Claremont Colleges are welcome to inquire about joining the lab. If you are interested in gaining experience in a marine science molecular lab, reach out! In addition to working in a traditional dry lab environment, we conduct experiments on marine life in the field (may include trips to local coastal areas and tide pools or tropical locations).
Walker-RiSE Lab Featured in the Opening of CMC's Robert Day Science Center
Professor Walker was featured in the opening day video for CMC's Integrated Sciences Department Building--the Robert Day Science Center (9/26/25). Prof. Walker gave a tour of the building to alumni. Plus the Walker Lab's own Ava Tratt (Pitzer '27) and Riley Crow (Scripps '27) were filmed working on their first solo DNA extractions.

Dr. Walker Featured on Innovation Nation (CBS)
Dr. Walker was featured on Henry Ford's Innovation Nation (aired on CBS 10/25/2023) during her time as a postdoctoral researcher in the Coral Resilience Lab at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
